The Birds of Paradise children were joined by all the other Christian Formation children on April 10 for an outing to Sharewood Camp.The camp is situated in a beautiful pine forest in Metn. It was a successful day of fun and activities for the children and their mentors.
Instead of a hiking trip for the older groups, all Christian Formation students joined together on April 10 for a day of activities and fun in the beautiful surroundings of Sharewood camp.
The lecture was presented by Father Romanos who explained in a captivating manner the roots of ecclesiastical music, its development and influence on the liturgy of the orthodox church. It was accompanied by an audio of liturgical hymns in Greek and Arabic and attended by the parish clergy and many parishioners.
On Forgiveness Sunday, which this year fell on March 13, a lunch buffet was held on the upper hall of the Parish Center following the Divine Liturgy. Many parishioners attended this traditional meal which is held before we enter Great Lent.
