On St. Barbara’s feast day on December 4, the Christian Formation children dressed up in different costumes to celebrate the feast. After the divine liturgy, parishioners and their children participated in a procession headed by the priests carrying the icon of St. Barbara and John of Damascus whose feast is celebrated on the same day. Parboiled wheat was served to all. For the children the wheat cups were served in small jute bags with the icon of St. Barbara wrapped candies were also distributed to the children.
