This year’s  summer camp with the theme “All together towards Jesus” took place from August 7 to August 12 at the Najib Nimah compound in the Douma region.  The compound which is built in the memory of Dr. Najib Nimah, was an ideal place for our summer camp. The compound  includes several buildings and a beautiful church’ Sts. Sergious and Bacchus”.

The program  included a visit to Mar Yohanna Douma, meditation sessions, nature walks, handicrafts and lots of games and fun. On Friday morning the children attended the divine liturgy celebrated by our new parish priest father Nicholas.  Taking part in all the different activities was enriching and  spirtually inspiring  for all the children as well as for their mentors.  The culimnation came on Friday night when the parents came to see the children’s performance and participated in a fantastic bonfire that all danced around.  The bon fire was built expertly by three young men from the St. Dimitri and St. George parishes whose presence and contribution  during the camp was highly appreciated by all.
