On Saturday November 21, a large group from our church went to Anfeh, a charming coastal town 65 km from Beirut. On this sunny day, they visited two churches that date back to the Byzantine area , Saint Simon and Saint Michael Church and Our Lady of the Wind Church. They also visited two monasteries, Our Lady of Al Natour, built by crusaders and the very ancient Saint John the Baptist Monastery. Finally, they visited Saint Catherine’s Church which was built by the crusaders in the 12th century. The visit ended with a lovely lunch at Al Baydar restaurant.
